Airline compensation
So, we got caught up in the weather debacle created by DFW weather over the weekend. Got rebooked into a different airport, with an overnight stay before our connection, without ever speaking to AA. We shrugged, got a room, and made those flights, arriving home Sunday instead of Saturday night.
Today, about 1115am, I get a text from AA that they are sorry for the delay, and a room and meals would be provided - "click here to book." Well, it's a bit late!
Is it worth contacting them to see if they'll compensate some of our room cost, at least? Or provide a travel voucher in lieu of the service we were completely unaware they'd provide?
As much as we've traveled, this hasn't happened before and I don't to waste time pursuing something totally futile. Thanks for any inputs 🙂
