I’ll be arriving at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 at 8:50 AM as a non-EU passenger and trying to plan my onward journey.

A few things I’m unsure about:

- How long does it usually take to clear immigration for non-EU arrivals in the morning?

- How long should I expect for baggage claim?

- Is it straightforward to get from Terminal 3 to the Fernbahnhof (long-distance train station)?

- Are there free transport options within the airport (like shuttle trains/buses) to get to the Fernbahnhof from Terminal 3?

I’m planning to take an ICE train to another city and was thinking of booking a ticket around 12:00 PM. Does that sound realistic, or is it cutting it too close?

Also, would you recommend booking a Sparpreis ticket or going for Flexpreis in this situation, given the uncertainty with arrival and processing times?

Looking for real experiences—especially from anyone who’s done this recently.
