Free SceneClipper and Scorer tool tutorial

Hi, we received overwhelming response to our tool. Thank you very much. Here is a quick tutorial to our tool that only takes minutes to clip and score 100s of shorts. Link to our tool: https://mystarplay.com/sceneclipper

The main steps remain the same:

  1. Upload a long video (no size limit, tutorial is done with a 3 GB file).
  2. Upload subtitles (great for the scoring, but optional).
  3. Adjust time and scene sensitivity settings or you can use the presets.
  4. Check boxes for the silences and facial expression.
  5. Click Detect Scene for the cut points.
  6. Go through the cuts (you can also have custom cuts for additional cuts).
  7. Score the clips (tool has emotion emojis to identify emotions tone of the scene).
  8. Sort by Time or Score.
  9. You can download specific clips or all the clips in mp4 format by clicking the relevant download button.
  10. You can also download the score sheet in excel by clicking the csv button.

Again, this is a free tool and you don't need any sign up or login. Would love to hear your thoughts and happy to answer any question.

Create and Score 100s of clips in minutes- Free SceneClipper and Scorer tool

Hi, I see many posts about clipping long videos here. Here is a free tool that both clips and scores 100s of shorts in minutes: https://mystarplay.com/sceneclipper

These are the steps and features:

  1. Upload a long video (no size limit, can go up to GBs, we even tried with hd videos 2.5 hours long)
  2. Upload subtitles (great for the scoring, but optional)
  3. Adjust time settings (there are some presets)
  4. Check boxes for the silences and facial expression
  5. Click Detect Scene for the cut points
  6. Go through the cuts (you can also have custom cuts for additional cuts)
  7. Score the clips (we have also added emotion emojis to identify emotions of the scene too)
  8. Sort by Time or Score
  9. You can just download only the top scoring or all the clips
  10. You can download in mp4 or webm format
  11. You can also download the score sheet in excel

Of course depending on the size and format (webm is faster, but mp4 is slower but more usable eventually), it can take longer for the download but for short clips it is pretty fast. It is all free. No log in required either.

We will also do a tutorial asap. Would love to here comments.

Hi, in follow-up to my minutes clip tutorial (where you can generate 100s of clips in minutes from a long video), I have created a python-based script that scores the clips on viral potential based on sound, facial expression, dialogue, silences and identifies keywords (with srt or burned subtitles). It takes around 15 to 25 min to score all the scenes based on how many clips there are (usually 35-60 clips). Is this something that interests you? And should I make a tutorial? We are developing these resources, so creators have minimal dependency on AI tools and can have flexibility and efficiency in their workflow.

Hi, I posted a couple of days ago if I should do a tutorial-style YT video on how I clipped a 90-minute video into 54 shorts in 10 minutes and got feedback that it will be very helpful. The video link is in the comment and here is the quick outline:

  1. Download and install free softwares: FFMPEG and Python

  2. Prepare necessary files and folder, but leave them empty or blank

  3. Identify scene changes through a script

  4. Create Python script and run it to mark the segment times

  5. Do the final clipping using the window powershell

Video has detailed step by step and all the codes and template names are in the description. The initial set up should take you around an hour or less and once set up, it should take around 5 -10 minutes. Hope you find this helpful. Please let me know if you have any question. Thank you.
