It amazes me that so many people ignore both of STP’s self-titled albums—2010 (Weiland) & 2018 (Gutt). While Core, Purple, etc. had all the radio-play hits, 2010/2018 are both killer albums that demonstrate the range and evolution of the DeLeo bros.
2012 starts with “Between the lines” and doesn’t slow down, the entire thing is just marvelous. Huckleberry Crumble, Cinnamon, Bagman, First Kiss on Mars. All of them, just terrific. 2018 has Middle of Nowhere, Meadow. Thought She’d Be Mine, The Art of Letting Go.
Lest we forget the acoustic 2020 Perdida, also a masterpiece.
Does anyone else love to jam newer STP? I hope we get another album!
