Are there any subreddits or Discord servers for Bangladeshi Hindus/ Bangali Hindus?

Hi, [23M] here, from Bangladesh.

I’ve seen country-based subreddits and Discord servers for different religious communities, even for atheists, so I was wondering if there’s any subreddit or Discord server specifically for Bangladeshi Hindus.

I feel something like this could be really helpful, especially at this moment. It could help raise awareness, share live updates, and keep people informed about ongoing events. Facebook groups don’t seem very effective these days.

Or,

we could even create a space that brings together Hindus from both parts of Bengal, since we mostly share the same culture and heritage. A platform like that could make it easier to stay connected and share live updates of both Bangla and spread immediately if any incident happens like Dipu Chandra Das incident. And as far as ik, Indian people read a lot, which could educate Bangladeshi Hindus more about their religion and sharp the argument so that we can reduce conversion.

Hi, M23 here.

Not from India.

Around 4-5 years ago I was going through a really bad time. A friend told me to watch Tamasha. I did. And I literally cried at some points. Because I felt so relatable and his acting was so perfect. I don't know how Ranbir did that but it didn't feel like acting at all.

After that I went and watched everything he'd done.

Rockstar, Barfi, Tamasha, YJHD, ADHM, Sanju — these are 10-15 year old films. People are still making reels on them. Why?

Because they can relate to the characters. These characters have been staying with us for years. And we can't imagine anyone other than Ranbir Kapoor in those characters.

My friend goes on a solo trip and plays Roy's BGM when he's sitting alone.

Someone gets frustrated at his job and just posts Tamasha story without saying anything — and everyone gets it immediately.

Kisi ka break-up ho jaye to Jordan, One sided toh Ae Dil hai Mushkil. You'd notice these things frequently.

Then koyi comeback wala reel/ aggression type reels ke liye Animal, Sanju toh hai hee.

People still praise Raajneeti, Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani, Rocket Singh, Wake up Sid.

That doesn't happen with most actors. That happens when someone made you feel genuinely understood. And for a lot of us, Ranbir did that through fictional characters for years. Which is honestly crazy when you think about it. Most actors you can see the effort. With him you just see the person.

And we all know it's his strongest genre.

And the thing about Ramayana is — it's not going to be an action film at its core. Yes there'll be war and spectacle, but the heart of the story is pure emotion.

And emotion-based storytelling is exactly where Ranbir has spent his entire career. So when people ask why Ranbir for Ram, that's the answer. Because Lord Rams's journey is an emotional one first. And nobody in this generation has mastered that space more than him. At least that's what I genuinely believe.

Some people will argue just to argue. But honestly if you think about it, nobody in the industry would have suited better as Lord Rama than Ranbir Kapoor (totally my thought).

And I hope he goes all out with it and I hope it becomes a great movie.

Thanks

Namaskar,

[23M] here, from Bangladesh. I've just bought Sadhak Sanjeevani by Gita Press. I was wondering if anyone here has read it or is currently reading it (bangla translation). I might need help in future regarding some verses/ translations. Everytime posting here wouldn’t be possible, so I just wanted to connect.

Thanks
