Hey everyone,

Love my Venza. It has 185k miles and I’ve done all the major services and maintenance to it.

Last May 2025, I noticed the AC wasn’t blowing as cold. Took it to a mechanic and they recharged the AC and added more Freon to the system and checked with dye to ensure no leak.

Fast forward to now, I’ve noticed as it’s gotten warmer the driver side blows warm air. The passenger side is still cold and the back vents as well. It’s just the driver side.

I looked at the blend door actuator under the dash by the gas pedal and from what I can see it’s rotating just fine. The dial on it turns when the temp is turned up, and adjusts the opposite way when I turn to a lower temp.

Could this be the actual vent behind the dash not opening to allow cold air to the driver side? I’m worried if so, that would be a costly repair for a car that’s got plenty of miles, but also a lot of life left to go. I’m in that spot where I don’t have a car payment, and my Venza is worth maybe 6k tops on the private market.
