I found this while sorting through my childhood collection. I saw 18 year old A Rod’s Appleton Foxes take on my local South Bend Silver Hawks (the White Sox farm team at the time) on a chilly April night as a 16-year old hardball fanatic who thought having a local minor league park was the coolest thing in the world. He signed 3 cards for me while chatting up all of the kids who came over to see why the hell I was so excited to meet a member of the opposition. I gave one to my friend who got me the ticket, sold one on eBay many moons ago, but will never part with this one. And I’ll always have a soft spot for A Rod no matter how polarizing he is.
