Is this too hard for a 15-year-old’s exam?
Hi everyone, I want to ask what you think about this reading part from a practice test in Hanoi, Vietnam.
So basically, in Vietnam, students in grade 9 (14-15 years old) must take a big exam to get into public high schools. This exam is very important and difficult, and if students do not get a high score, it is very hard for them to get a place in a public school. For many people, it is even more stressful than the exam to enter university.
This text is from a recent practice test. It has many very hard scientific words like "phenotypic sequestered plasticity" and "botanical physiology analogous nutritional adaptations"
What do you guys think? Is this level of English okay for a 15yo student?
