Tidal, Batch 2
Biggest week of production yet! I molded 30 decks and 18 of them were for the Tidal Series. Really happy with this new sheet of Abalone I got. Very saturated. Enjoy some pretty pics!

I had quite a few people show their interest on here when I posted my first pic of these abalone decks. I thought I'd share some of the photos I've collected over the course of the week, since there were quite a few folks asking for more. Alot of you found me on my insta and reached out too which is dope. I made about 15 of these boards over the course of the week. Half of them were pretty pristine, the other half had flaws in the abalone. Buuut, I think I've circled in on how to do these splits without even applying heat to the abalone - this next week will tell for sure. I published a website today along with the first batch of these decks, and had quite a few orders. It's been a headache figuring out the system and making sure I'm keeping records right... not something I'm used to. But it was super rewarding, even surreal, to pack up 9 decks today with tape and stickers and cards (last photo)... and just be like... damn this is a childhood fantasy that I'm fulfilling so casually rn. It feels great to be contributing my art (in an unexpected way) to people's lives. Thanks for listening, rant over.
I'm very excited to see this idea come to fruition, and to add a whole new energy to my collection this weekend. The Abalone split ply was my original goal when I started making decks. After experimenting alot with other designs, I finally pulled the trigger on some Abalone and I could not be happier with this result. It didn't go as planned on my first attempt, it's a finicky material and needs to be heated in order to form a tighter curve radius without cracking. But I figured out something that works, and now Ill be pumpin em out all week.
