Why do employees need to register for the CEO global town hall? Feel like if I put my tin foil hat on, I can think up a lot of reasons. I am curious if anyone knows why though?

I am looking at leaving Deere. I was told by someone that is not my direct manager that if I were to put in my two weeks notice, I would probably get a counteroffer to stay at Deere. I was curious if anyone knew if Deere is doing this now? Just trying to plan how to navigate through that.
