I’m in a boutique investment bank focused on M&A and was just curious about progression. I know the normal path is to try get into a larger bank and then exit into PE, and equity research feeds into long short well, but do many people go from M&A to long short analyst roles at top hedge funds?
Hi guys, I’m looking to get a new laptop and narrowed it down between these 2, both 16gb ram.
I plan to use this for work daily for investment banking work, creating financial models and using spreadsheets etc.
And I also plan to do a masters in a year so I’d want it to be good across both and last a while.
The thinkpad costs £1000 and the xps costs £1600 but I wasn’t sure if the difference is worth it?
If you have any advice on which one is better and if it’s worth the extra money to get the xps that would be great I’d appreciate it!
