I’ve just bought my first house at 22 years old so I have absolutely no experience gardening but I want to get into it. My house has a gravel border going along one wall and I want to turn it into a cat safe flower bed.
My question is it safe to do this right next to the house without precautions. I’ve asked the usual ChatGPT but its suggestions are all very expensive.
The patch goes underneath the two main windows down stairs so something that smells nice but doesn’t grow too high like lavender but I worry about roots damaging the structure of the house.
I already have plans of other parts of the garden as I’m trying to turn my bland garden into a cottage core sort of sanctuary.
Sorry for the rant, your advice would mean the world to me.
