Hi everyone, I am a Testing engineer in an IT industry. I DON'T want to stay in my current job. Simply, my job is very secure and no chance of getting laid, but there is no to very less growth here, also I was assigned testing department. I was always interested in AI but never want too deep to consider a career in it. But now since it is at its peak and there is very high growth potential, I want to transition. I can use my time here to learn anything. I am confident in my maths and am open to learn anything and everything which helps me.

I want help and would like to know where should I start and what can be possible resources to learn and make projects. I am happy with either free or paid courses. I really want guidance and welcome every advice, experience and help.
Thank you all.

Good Morning Everyone,

I am a graduate of 2025 batch with BE/CSE bg and is currently employed in a European IT service firm. I was assigned as a tester in a project( The project is very good and the client is a country's gov). But I am very sceptical about testing because I have no idea of its career path and growth.

What I wanted was something like soft dev or AI engineer, dev ops or any tech stack other than testing/support.

I want to know from any senior or experienced professional two questions:

  1. What is the growth path in this domain and can I make a successful career out of it if I remain here. What all could be the opportunity in terms of switching and profiles.

  2. Can I make a switch in domains further down in my career into development or AI or is there a way I could switch in the beginning and what are possible firms that provide opportunities like this.

  3. Should I do 2-3 years here and then go for an MBA completely switching my field? I have no personal attachment to tech so I can switch and also I want to become a consultant.

Please guide me and help me in answering these questions. I am very conflicted right now and my mind is blank. I cannot even sleep properly because the future is suddenly looking very faded and I have never been in such situations.
