I'm struggling to gain weight. should i consider mass gainer?

Im 15 Male 5'8 and my weight is 48 kgs (or 105 .8 lbs). Im slim and have remained slim for all of my life till now that im 15 and cant seem to gain weight. i would sometimes eat a lot of proteins and calories consistently in lots of portion but just cant seem to gain even a few pounds from it. I started gym a couple months ago and i knew that weight gaining for me is very important if i wanna build muscle. I tried those high calorie and protein homemade shakes, a high calorie diet (eggs, chicken etc). However, i just didnt seem to gain any weight whatsoever maybe a kilo i guess but i should be gaining much much more.

Im starting gym agian after a couple of weeks and my weight is the biggest problem. At this point i dont even know how fast my metabolism is. So i have decided to take mass gainer for some weeks so i can give my weight a boost so i can settle back to fully natural diet but i have heard that it has a lot of negative side effects. Many say that once you stop taking mass gainer your weight will start to drop. And its very harmful for me because of my age. Some say i should stay at fully natural diet. I wonder if its actually effective and can i gain weight by it and maintain it long term after leaving it or should i just try to gain weight through fully natural diet if i wanna build muscle.
