This question is specifically for leg hair. I have used Nair when I was new to hair removal, back in middle/high school. But I was never able to stand the smell. This was about 14 years ago. I used to exclusively wax for 7 years after that, and for the last 7 years I have been shaving/waxing depending on the mood and only when I need to.

But recently I’m so done with these methods of hair removal because now I have ingrown hairs (even though I exfoliate) which I used to never have when I was using Nair and shaving inevitably gives me razor burn. So I’m planning to revert back to that. It was also wayyyyy faster and easier than shaving or waxing myself.

I wanted to know if anyone has used it more recently? Has the formula changed and is the smell aspect better now? Also would it be okay to use even though I have ingrown hair?

The kitten has been with me since she was 5 weeks old, and for all intents and purposes, I am her mom. I was invited to this 3 day long wedding halfway across the country, and it’s a close friend so I don’t want to miss it. I booked my tickets after spending a lot of time being on the fence about leaving her alone. But as the trip gets closer, I feel more and more guilt about being away.

She has an automatic feeder and a water fountain, so food and water is not a concern. My roommates are super helpful and are willing to check in on her through the day, and play with her a few times each day. Except the last day of my trip when no one will be home for around 24 hours. I do have a friend who volunteered to cat sit that day, and she’ll stop by for an hour or so to play with her that day. One of my roommates also has a cat, so my kitten will have her cat best friend to hang out with while I’m gone.

I know that people leave older cats at home for short trips all the time, but she’s still a baby. Plus we have never been apart overnight, in fact we’ve never been apart for more than 10 hours and that’s also only when I’m at work.

I almost considered taking her with me for the trip, but flights are super stressful for her, plus I didn’t want her whole routine uprooted and for her to adjust to a new place for just 4 days.

Do you think she’ll be okay at home? Is there anything I can do to make this easier for her?

Edit: The roommates “checking in” implies checking if her feeder and water is plugged in, and scooping her litter. She does have access to all the shared spaces in our home, and into the bedroom of the other cat. We just keep her in the room overnight, till after her breakfast since the cats get in each other’s bowls, and if you have a multi-cat household with territorial cats, you know that is a full on cat-fight causing offense in their books!!
