Hi, so I just bought my pixel 9a less than a week ago.

Hands down the worst 1st week experience I had with a new smartphone.
I chose the 9a mainly for the software and camera. Here's the list of issues I have encountered so far. (Mostly software, how ironic)

  1. If you have the adaptive brightness option turned on you will experience a noticeably dimmer screen brightness even when you cranked it up. (Imagine after setting up the phone and noticing how dark the screen is at max brightness, I thought the OLED screen was broken)

  2. The battery drains noticeably fast even during light to moderate use and the temp on this phone is just insane. This is the hottest phone I have ever held while simply doing basic stuff like watching a youtube video.

  3. Last and definitely the most outrageous issue is the charging time. This phone takes 4-5 hours to fully charge from 20%-100%. I'm on the 5th charging cycle now and it's the same everytime. And yes, I am using a recommended 30w Anker Zolo Pd charger with the original cable. (The original 45w google charger is not available where I live)

So my conclusion is I'm never buying anything from google again in this lifetime.

I have also attached a screenshot from accubattery app showing my damn phone only wants to take in 3.7w tops while telling me fast charging is on. So yeah I guess it's safe to confirm these are all software and optimization issues.
