Replacing Delta shower trim with Moenn, the new Moenn handle seems to fit the Delta valve?

Hello! I’m reading online you need to replace the valve when switching trim brands, but my existing Delta valve seems to be the same as the new Moen one and I’ve tested it by attaching the Moen key stop and plastic handle adapter and it fit quite snug and I was able to turn the water on. Am I missing something? Photos attached, TIA!
