Yes I do realize that there is a difference between nannys and sitters in that nannys (typically?) live with the family. (I'm not 100% sure!)

Anyways this is our situation. My wife and I work from home. (We run an ecommerce business online and stream 4-5 days a week, usually in the evening)

Ideally we'd want someone capable of watching our daughter for 2-3 (sometimes but rarely 4) hours. Looking for someone capable and comfortable changing diapers, bottle feeding (my wife breast pumps every 3-4 hours), burping, putting the baby to sleep and or watching over her to ensure she stays safe while she sleeps etc. This is all probably pretty obvious but I'm a new dad so please bare with me haha.

Anyways my wife and I have never hired someone for something like this before. We are not at this time looking for anyone full time, or for someone to live in our home with us, so perhaps a sitter? I am not sure.

What I most hope to gain in terms of knowledge from this post is - where is the best place to look for trustworthy, vetted sitters/nannys? What kind of pay should we expect to offer?

I want to make sure we show this person, whoever they are, the respect they deserve and don't want to waste anyone's time offering a poor amount.

We are based on the West Coast, so I imagine that affects several factors from gas to hourly wage.

Grateful for any insights you wonderful people can offer!

Hey there- been playing the game on my own for several years.

I enjoy it, though to this day I haven't ever cleared the game. I always end up starting a new game because I enjoy the early game much more than the tedious crawl it becomes mid to late. (like manually having to remove bodies from my buildings, having to fix poor automation etc) - I often ruin the games myself sometimes too.

Mods like recruit prisoners also inevitably ruin my playthroughs because I can't seem to help eyeing the cool/strong and or unique characters and thinking, "what a waste not to use them" (I once recruited the Armor King and was disgusted to find his armor smithing wasn't maxed out btw), but I can't imagine trying to play Kenshi without such a mod either, because the ability to potentially recruit characters adds to the immersion I'm hungry for.

Anyways such actions inevitably break the game because it's suddenly too easy.

I also use mods that increase the number of attacks that can be made against a single unit simultaneously because I just think that's more realistic. It makes the early game harder, but then the mid game I feel like I'm the one cheesing, especially if I have several elder bulls that eviscerate the stronger characters I should fear. I'm after an immersive experience.

One thing I've changed recently to prevent myself from burning out on a playthrough is I no longer use the x2, x15, x50 speed ups. Part of Kenshi is travel time, training time, exploration etc etc. So as tedious as some parts of the game become without speeding it up, it has been more fun overall, and the feeling of accomplishment more keenly felt after building bases, traveling to special locations or reaching specific milestones etc.

So far my current playthrough has been fun. I've made it my mission to get my main character to maxed out weapon smithing, but yesterday his left arm got cut off by a scumbag Inquisitor. I've never managed to build a healing pod yet (it's a mod), but if I can manage it, I plan to restore Kenshin's missing arm using this 'amazing tech' even if it means manually going in through FCS to do so. (A mod that restores limbs if you reach the pinnacle of tech should totally be a thing)

Anyways I still fear the game will become boring the moment major things start to happen again. I have already defeated the bugmaster (I got very lucky) and the Sheks have allied with me. I just built a base in Holy nation territory and plan to train there with each wave of enemies that hit us, already destroyed Rebirth as well and captured their Inq guy - but eventually I will have an army of strong characters, and raiding ancient outposts wont be as fun because I will have maxed out my tech, making the loot you get there boring and other than raiding the ashlands, destroying the UC and potentially betraying the Shek - it doesn't feel like there's anything to really do.

But I get notifications on my phone all the time lately about the new updates that have come to Kenshi via sentient sands and 'REKenshi' - would really appreciate anyone willing to break them down and explain how your playthroughs go and how you prevent the boredom from creeping in.
