I jet washed my tumble dryer
Seeing the post about changing a dryer belt, reminded me of the extremes I went to to get my heat pump tumble dryer back to full health.
Not for the feint of heart, but basically over time the whole dryer and particularly the heat exchanger gets clogged up with fluff. If the heat exchange is clogged it’s bad at drying.
Took about 4 hours and I removed an ungodly amount fluff throughout (which annoyingly made it a bit noisier). But it worked and back to working like new. The heat exchanger comes out you give it a jet washed and straighten some of the fins and it’s like new.
