Moved to a new city recently to start a new career opportunity, and unfortunately I don't know anyone here aside from a few folks at work who I work with day-to-day.
I've been taking the train every day, and as it has become a routine, I start to notice the same people who take the same commute (same stop, same time). I actually approached one of the regulars around my age who I thought I'd be friendly with, and we talked on the train for about 15 minutes. Got to learn what he does for work and discuss our shared interest in golf.
I only caught his first name as I had to leave, but I ended up finding his LinkedIn profile later on. Would it be too soon / direct to request a connection or should I just wait until we run into each other again?
