HI
I have a deposit of approx £40k and was looking to buy a house in the UK. However at the minute houses seem to be sold within a day of being put on the website at prices 5-10k more then the listed price. I have repeated requested a viewing of a house I liked to be told its already sold only after a day on the website.
- Is this rate of selling normal and is it wise to try and enter the market when it seems like a feeding frenzy.
- My landlady has had her house valued at £270k its in need of some attention but its ok It lack what I was looking for in a home but as a pure investment point of view its a good one with tenants and location. Should I be purely mercenary and buy it or look for a place to life.
- Lastly I am not sure if I buy a house that I will be remaining in my current job. Should I buy the house before I change jobs or do it the other way round? I am 40 years old and the longer I leave purchaing a property or house the more I am afrai I will be home less in my older years.
Any Advice or sources of good information would be appreciated
