Would you read this Overlord Fanfic?
Hey everyone. I’m pretty new to this subreddit (and the reddit itself), but I’ve been a huge fan of Overlord for a long time now. I’ve already read all 16 volumes currently available in my language, and after spending so much time obsessed with the PEAK worldbuilding, I finally decided to write a fanfic.
So I wanted to come here and share the idea and hopefully hear some opinions from other fans.
The story follows a guild made up of 11 complete bums from a very different timeline compared to Ainz’s original world. In this version, society isn’t quite the same dystopian nightmare ruled entirely by the rich (well… mostly not). Because of this, the members of this guild grew up in a much more peaceful way than the people of Momonga's old world.
In this world, there will be several current anime series, and YGGDRASIL will be best known as a game in the Overlord franchise, and the biggest RPG currently available.
There will also be crossovers with anime and games, but I'm still deciding which ones.
The main focus is on the MC and his friends: a group of "Misfits" and their journey playing and enjoying YGGDRASIL before eventually being transported to the New World along with Ainz Ooal Gown.
I've currently written 2 chapters, but together they reach 10k words (the first having 6k and the second 4k).
I'm currently publishing through Webnovel because it's the only site I know and use. Enjoy your reading!
