Just Started Today!

I just finished Doll Parts for the second time yesterday and now I’m reading Love Sick. Have you read any of Luana Vecchio’s other works or comics/graphic novels similar? And what do you think?
Honestly so far I’m not impressed. I enjoyed Doll Kills for the aspect of watching a character go through their life and “descent” but I wasn’t really able to connect with Maddie deeply. I felt that there book left more to be desired. I wish I really had a more closer and deeper look into why Maddie makes the choices she does. The depth of the isolation she felt didn’t really seem conveyed that well, and I wish her failed attempts at connecting with others were explored more.

Even though Doll Parts comes after Love Sick in publication technically it’s a prequel so I think the books can be read in any order. I hope my experience with Love Sick isn’t affected as a result of reading Doll Parts first.

I’m trying to break into comics and graphic novels so give me suggestions. If you have any.
