My daughter (5yo) was diagnosed with Lyme from blood tests done for another issue that turned out to be unrelated to Lyme. Because the issue was unrelated, that means she just never experienced any Lyme symptoms and we have no way of knowing when she actually got it.
She’s currently on 28 days of doxycycline.
I’m just looking for some reassurance - if we caught it before any major symptoms developed, should the antibiotics be enough to kick it? What if she had it for 8 - 12 months without us knowing? Any insight is helpful!
