Hi everyone,
I’m a medical grad looking to learn the ropes of clinical research. I have a little bit of experience helping out with systematic reviews, but my main goal right now is to volunteer on an ongoing project so I can learn how the research process actually works from start to finish.
I’m happy to take on the heavy lifting—like data extraction, literature searches, and proofreading—but I also bring a useful hobby to the table: I like tinkering with AI.
I'm definitely not a pro developer, but I've learned how to run open-source AI models (like Llama and MedGemma) locally on my own computer. I essentially use them as smart assistants to speed up the tedious stuff, like quickly sorting through huge piles of literature or summarizing papers. Because I run them locally, I can use AI to grind through data without ever having to upload sensitive information to the cloud.
If anyone needs an extra set of hands and is willing to give a little guidance on the research process in return, I’d love to help out.
