There's a motion detector on this thing that causes it to open automatically whenever someone walks into the bathroom. There's a button on the remote to close it, but even when you press the button it'll still open if it senses you moving around near it. I don't know about y'all but I don't want the scent of shit wafting towards me uninvited every time I walk into the bathroom. I'd much prefer to just press the button to open it, or even have to open it by hand if that's not gonna be an option. My point is this is not one of the better bidets unless you don't care about this design flaw. Save your money.
