DHA Licensed Fresh Graduate Job Search
Hello everyone,
I recently received my DHA license in allied health and I’ve started applying for jobs. I graduated here in the UAE, and from my understanding, the 2-year experience requirement mainly applies to professionals with degrees from abroad. However, despite this, I still rarely come across job listings that are open to fresh graduates or newly licensed professionals.
I’ve still been sending out my CV to different hospitals and clinics, but after reading through this subreddit, I’m starting to feel like it’s very difficult to hear back using this application method.
So I wanted to ask:
How are fresh graduates/newly licensed professionals supposed to gain experience if most employers require previous experience to begin with?
Should I be approaching applications differently? For example, would it be more effective to visit hospitals and clinics in person and hand out my CV instead of only applying online?
I’d really appreciate any advice or insight from people who have been in a similar situation.
