A book similar to the Heartstring Series by B.K. Boris (as they've turned a romance hater into a bit of a fan)
As the title suggests, I am usually not a romance fan. I feel like I've tried all the big names (such as Ali Hazelwood, Emily Henry, Abby Jimenez) and, bar Beach Read by Emily Henry, I just tend to find romance novels are not for me.
I recently finished a dense fantasy series and was looking for a light book to read before I started another one, and a friend gave me First-Time Caller. I was highly sceptical but I flew through it, and then And Now, Back to You. I thought they were both cheesy but sweet, and the prose was nice. I liked the characters, they felt very grounded and I thought the romance was fun, without being overly ridiculous.
I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for other easy romance books that don't have a slightly toxic MMC, poor writing or an overly quirky FMC that says a lot of cringey things. I don't need smut or anything, just wanting to see if there are any other light romance books that could stop me from being such a romance hater☎️😊
