Looking to buy a car, no idea where to start. Need Advice.
AoA,
I'm looking to buy my first car but browsing Pak Wheels, talking to friends and family etc has put me in analysis paralysis.
I currently have 2 mil saved up from my job. Earning around 400k-ish a month alhamdulillah (Savings are low because I was previously abroad and most of my money went into rent and food). I can stretch the budget up to 3-3.5 mil and the following conflicting thoughts are in my head currently,
Buy the 1 million EV that's heavily promoted these days (My dad's advice). We have solar panels so charging won't be that much of an issue. Located in Rawalpindi
Buy a used honda (eagle eyes) but I can't seem to find one in good condition on pakwheels, most of them have been modified to look a bit..... childish (Not hating on the owner, just my personal thoughts). I prefer the eagle eyes because it was the first car my dad bought and I absolutely loved it, felt like sitting in an airplane, still looks stunning, concerned about the average, maintainence (since it's pretty old now).
Buy another aqua. We currently own an Aqua (2015 model, 2019 import) it's honestly a flawless car for me. Average is great, goes decently fast (I mean realistically how fast can you actually go on Pakistani roads), replaced the battery once in 2022 and not one issue yet, looks beautiful. Problem is that it is a bit TOO low, scrapes the bottom on speed breakers sometimes when I have people with me.
Buy an alto. This is my reasoning as to what would be the most economical car, but it means I give up on all my wants for a car to fulfil what will realistically would be my needs. I'd be fine with this except for the fact that we imported the aqua for 2.1 mil and an alto is 3 mil minimum.
Save for a new car. The car need is not extremely urgent, but our family currently has 1 car and I feel guilty driving it even though it's perfectly fine with my fam, the thought always arises "What if they actually want to go somewhere but don't because I'm using it." I do refuel it and carry out oil changes etc but it still feels awkward sometimes.
Would love some advice based on your personal buying experiences as well as general tips.
