I just got my QC Mini and it works great with headphones. But one of my use cases was to use it with my Mac so I could fiddle at my desk. When I connected via USB to the Mac and loaded up Garageband there is a noticeable lag (>.5s at least) and it is super quiet. It appears Apple has removed the bit rate sampling settings in GB which shows up as the most common solution for lag. GB is unusable for me currently.
My goal is to just play the QC through my Mac speakers while at my desk. I have no need of a full on recording suite and don't especially want to spend money on a software solution for this. I've looked at Reaper and Waveform but both seem more than I need and neither worked right out of the box, so I am going to need to spend some time looking at their settings.
I have a Focusrite Solo I can use as well, but I'd rather retire that and just do the QC into the Mac, but if there's an easy path there I can try it I guess.
