Hi everyone,

Need some serious guidance.

My mother (mid 50s) has been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for ~20 years, and now her knees are in very bad condition. Doctors have suggested Total Knee Replacement (TKR) as the next step.

We’re trying to figure out the best place to get this done, preferably:

Good orthopedic surgeon with strong TKR experience

Hospital with high success rate + proper rehab support

Options under Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) if possible (but open to private if worth it)

Locations: Delhi NCR or Jaipur

From what I’ve seen so far:

Some top private hospitals in Delhi like Max, BLK, etc. are highly recommended but may not always support Ayushman

There are Ayushman empanelled hospitals where knee replacement is covered cashless

In Jaipur, hospitals like Fortis Escorts, Narayana, RUHS, etc. also seem to do TKR

But honestly, it’s very confusing to decide:

How to choose the right surgeon vs hospital brand?

Is robotic knee replacement actually worth it, or just marketing?

Any real experiences (good/bad) with Ayushman hospitals for TKR?

Would really appreciate:

Doctor/hospital recommendations (Delhi / Jaipur)

Personal experiences (especially for elderly patients)

Approx cost (private vs Ayushman)

Things to be careful about before surgery

This is a big decision for us, so trying to get it right 🙏

Thanks in advance.
