Sooo these two hatched just few hours apart from each other back in September but are obviously different sizes now. Pics are in order from today, 3 months ago, and 8 months ago

They both have 24/7 access to cuttlebone and I feed them a variety of veggies +bloodworms so I don't think it's diet related

But I can't exactly tell if he's eating because whenever I check the habitat he's retracted

This is my first time raising snail babies and I hear culling is something that a lot of snail owners do to their runts... so should I assume he is in pain now and cull him before it might get worse? Help please
