Looking for more writers with OstensibleMammal style comedy beats
I greatly enjoyed book2 of Path of the Deathless, and just am grooving to the goofy grand guignol of OM's stories. There's always some moment where whatever broken meat machine protagonist he's currently writing is placed into situations where the vulnerabilities of flesh are funny, where there's some "Frank Castle punches a polar bear so it attacks a mobster" style comedy just underlying the absurdity in all of those powered fights. I'm looking for more stories like that, where the protagonist is going to see the humor maybe one time in fifty, but the audience is going to laugh at the blood regularly.
I've already gone through Mage Tank, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and Discount Dan's Backroom Bargains, and enjoyed them, but they're not scratching that specific itch
I absolutely am not looking for any stories where the protagonist is regularly making intentional jokes that everyone else reads as jokes, or stories where the author is including puns for any reason other than "the character making the puns is evil, eventually the protagonist is going to brutally murder them and the reader will experience some catharsis. The puns are not more objectionable than the other acts of this depraved fiend, but they're not less objectionable" purposes. Perfect Run is a bad recommendation. Anything by Dakota Krout is a bad recommendation.
If anyone has any actual recommendations I'd greatly appreciate them, but also I fully understand if they don't exist(that said, please no fucking recs for Durand or Krout. They both seem like nice people but their senses of humor are the exact literal opposite of what I am asking for so I'm trying to pre-emptively save my inbox lol)
