For those of you that have them, can you state the pro's and con'r of one vs the other? I know the 7.0 has a less powerful motor, but does it really matter a lot? Also, the narrower deck does not bother me (I'm shorter). Right now, I can get the 7.4 AT for $1600 w free delivery. The cheapest I can find the 7.0 for I think is $1100 (free shipping). This is before taxes in California. I can afford the 7.4, but want to know if it's worth $500 more? I will use the treadmill very sparingly, only when I am in a crunch etc, as I am a member of two gyms. The last Proform I had I bought in 2008 and it was under $1000 and was great. My biggest ask is that the treadmill is decent on the knees (the reason I run on treadmills instead of outdoors) .. please don;t give me recommendations on other pricier treadmills .. I have the gym for that.

I want to buy a treadmill for home use that is affordable and the best cushioned (I get sore knees on firm treadmills). I had an older (10 years old) Proform that just crapped out but had really good cushioning .. I am an avid runner so I know for certain. I run long distance when I do treadmill (6-12 miles). I have found that when at gyms some treadmills give me sore knees, but the Proform didn't.
I want to know from real users whether the Horizons are better cushioned than Proforms as I am tryign to make a purchase decision like ASAP. THANK YOU!
