just as the title said. I had to top off some of his feeds with formula (weight gain issues) and suddenly he is pooping after every feed some of them being very big runny/liquidy, but all normal color.

he’s been exclusively on breastmilk so far and shows no other symptoms just the pooping. I’m not even sure if it’s diarrhea because when I look it up online it says some breastfed babies poop after every feed but it definitely started after I introduced formula.

I’m a FTM and so scared that this might stall his weight gain (even more) or cause him dehydration. this has been happening for the past four days.

please if anyone has had to combo-feed did your baby react like this when introducing formula? how long did you wait before trying a different kind? should I switch right away or wait more (how long?) for his body to adjust to it?

FTM here, we have been EBF but need to now combo feed to reach weight gain goals. baby is 9 weeks old.

I introduced one bottle of formula yesterday and then another today, and baby’s last two stools have been watery diarrhea-like but otherwise he seems fine. my question is this normal when introducing formula? should I continue for a few days for him to adjust or stop immediately and try a different kind?

I’m worried because frequent large watery stools could stall weight gain or cause dehydration.

any experience/advice is welcome.
