Hi everyone,

When I was 19-20 I got bilateral foot surgery. My feet were (are?) pretty severe, I was born 25 weeks premature and I guess my body was so focused on surviving it forgot to give my feet the right bones.

We started with the right and then did the left 6 month later. I received Strayer Gastroc recession, Evans calcaneal osteotomy, and Cotton Plantarflex free wedge osteotomy for both of them.

However, now I’m 31, the surgeries have failed. I can barely walk. The pain is immense and after an MRI my appointment was moved up by the doctors recommendation and due to my pain levels (this doctor is so busy that before the MRI they told me they were booking a month out)

I don’t know what to do. I’m scared to have these surgeries again. The pain was horrific. I just wanted to ask has anyone else had to redo the surgeries, was it worth it? Any advice for the pain? Does any one have suggestions on how to get up the stairs after surgery. I’m just scared. I never wanted to do this again.
