2008 Toyota Yaris is running louder after hit and run
A few months ago during snow clearing I was parked on the street and someone backed into me with their tow hook and severed the wiring to my horn, not a big deal. However, as I’ve driven more with the weather clearing up, I noticed that as my car accelerates it’s much louder than it use to, especially going uphill. Which, is strange because before I moved I lived in an extremely mountainous area and it never was that loud prior. There don’t seem to be any noticeable fluid leaks or anything like that, and from a quick scan under the hood nothing looks cracked or displaced. Even when I went to get an oil change, the mechanic never mentioned any noticeable damage besides the horn. I’m just wondering if it’s something I should be more concerned about? I’m considering that it could also be a transmission fluid thing since it’s never been replaced (it was my granny’s car, I didn’t even know it had never been done until maybe 3 or 4 months ago).
