I know it’s not directly related to this sub, but I’m curious, as I have not yet received mine, with 2 days to spare till the election. The people I know that are signed up to vote have all got theirs, about a month ago at this point Im sure, but mine has yet to come through.
I imagine it is because of my name change, and I never informed the relevant authority about this until march (my mistake), which they then informed me they accepted/the change was recorded, and they added me/changed my entry to the electoral register, but I’ve yet to get my ballot so I can actually vote. I signed up before the deadline, I know some people that done so later than I did, and have their ballots. Got plenty of leaflets from all the parties in my deadname though. I got one last week that was in my legal name, which indicates that they did indeed change my information, so that’s good At least.
Im in Scotland for reference, unless this sorta thing is also happening down south as well for your elections.
*(Also I’m aware you can just get one at the polling station, and I intend to, it’s just a bit inconvenient as I am a disabled person and half the point of the ability to put in a postal vote is to help people that may physically struggle getting to a polling station.)*
