It was a loud thing a few weeks ago that Apple Maps removed names of all villages in South Lebanon. Now I see in many news articles that Apple claims those villages were never there, but the only evidence are posts such as this on Apple Support Forum. I've searched on this subreddit too but no one talked about it recently (or maybe I don't know how to search)?

In old posts, it's all about Maps glitching, giving no directions or being unreliable. There was not a single post that clearly said, "Why is the map COMPLETELY empty between southern border and Litani river?"
I think this kind of glitch would be important enough to be mentioned at least once in those posts. Instead people just say that those maps are simply sometimes unreliable.
So what I'm asking is, is it true that those towns were never labelled on Apple Maps? And that posts claiming the names were removed after this war started are misleading?
