Was thinking of a way to balance Adam and how he only works in triple support and if he's paired with triple he's a nightmare.
If you've ever read the comics, you'd know Adam and Magus are two sides of the same coin, so what if, Adam starts out barely being able to do any dmg with his primary, but he can heal with it, has 2 charges plus soul bond, but over time as he hits his enemies more and more his mind is corrupted and he slowly ramps up his dmg, but his heals get worse and worse. If you keep shooting the enemy and not heal the team you slowly turn into the Magus; who's heal is next to non existent, his soul bond latches to enemies instead and his primary hitscan gets wider and more powerful. If he heals teammates over damaging enemies he reverts back to Adam
Its a dilemma of psychology as demonstrated in the comics Adam has to balance the good and evil in his mind to stop him from turning. Likewise the gameplay is to balance his good and evil side i.e. Dmg vs Heals. Its also a gameplay loop closer tied to the comics.
This change makes Adam viable in double support as he can basically do similar heals to White fox for example, however it also fixes him in triple as you either have the option of defensive(Adam) where there's a lacking dps option or Aggressive(Magus) where heals are so low its basically a 2 2 2.
Similar core reworks to mantis and Ultron would finally fix the plaguing issues with triple support.
