Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my Android phone to a newer model. Before I did it, I used Samsung SmartSwitch to transfer data from the old phone to an external hard drive. When I got my new phone, I was an idiot and didn't bother to look up directions on how to transfer the data onto the new phone using "Smart Switch." I didn't realize that in "settings" they had a submenu that allowed you to transfer SmartSwitch data to a new phone. I thought that I had to download the SmartSwitch app from the Play Store, which meant that I needed to create a temporary Samsung account on the new phone in order to do this. So I created a new Samsung user ID, then downloaded SmartSwitch from the Play Store, hooked up my external hard drive (with the backed-up data), and attempted to try and transfer the data to my new phone. I then started to get nervous and decided I would look up on my computer "How to transfer backed-up data using Smart Switch onto a new Samsung phone."

That's when I discovered that I could access SmartSwitch data recovery through the utilities menu, which I did, and was able to get my data transferred to the new phone.

The problem I am having now is that the new phone thinks that the "temporary Samsung password" I had originally created on the new phone to access the "Play Store" is my original Samsung user account.

I thought that SmartSwitch would transfer over my original Samsung user account. I also didn't realize that none of my Google accounts would be transferred over using the SmartSwitch backup from the old phone. Or was it because I was using a different Samsung user account when I did the SmartSwitch data restore that none of my Google accounts transferred over? What should I do?

I also notice when I click on some apps, it tells me that the app wasn't installed from the "Play" store and should not be used and removed and reinstalled from the "Play" store (which I do, and then it works fine). But it was during the Samsung SmartSwitch data transfer that the app was transferred over (so the phone is claiming it was not installed from the app store and should be removed and reinstalled). Is this happening because during the SmartSwitch transfer I was logged into the phone using that temporary account that I had created, and now I have used my saved data to restore my old Google account and am using it again?

Because the temporary Samsung account that I created is now linked to this new temporary Samsung ID that I created, is it better for me to just start all over again using the SmartSwitch data transfer from the old phone (and if so, do I need to do some sort of "reformatting" or wiping of the current data on this new phone first?) Or is there a simpler way to somehow just delete the temporary Samsung user ID (if the phone will allow me to do that) and use the old Samsung/Google account that I had restored from email and password data that I was able to recover, or if I did this, would deleting the temporary Samsung account that I first set up before I knew I could access SmartSwitch data from the settings menus have things get messed up on the new phone in its current state?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post. Any help, advice, suggestions, "hacks"/workarounds, or sharing of similar experiences/issues and what ultimately worked for you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help.
