I’m mom of 2, every year my husband is so thoughtful and wants to make a big thing of Mother’s Day. I dread the holiday, it has a visceral and negative association in my gut. Finally realized why.

I have always hated Mother’s Day, because it was a mandatory and “official” day required to love and appreciate my mom, be thankful for her, and kiss her ass.

Like she didn’t require that the other 364 days of the year??
