Turned book cover art into miniature - Bad Loon Rising Zograt kitbash
For the experiment and Black Library challenge, I decided to try making a real (fantasy) character, that didn't have its mini yet. While searching for a nice Warhammer cover art, I found this Bad Loon Rising book with the amazing cover of this oldschool goblin (or gloomspite git if you want) and instantly knew what I want - to challenge myself in transporting the character from the cover, into a miniature.
So, meet Zograt.
I tried to be as precise as possible and make the character look the same as in the cover, because why not, it's a challenge after all. So every strap, every rag, the tiny worm, the grinning goblin face, and (almost) every shroom, bone, and other trinkets were made. I even borrowed some feet from the savage orc, because they were a bit bigger than goblin ones and fit the scale of the mini better 👣
I know it's not 1:1 copy, as I didn't have all the patience with some elements, but that's pretty close anyway, so I'm happy with the result 😁
Also, those shrooms on the base were easier than they look!
