I grew up in the inner city where I saw rodents and rat droppings all the time. We used to have these little enclosed sheds in the backyard of every apartment building where the trash cans were stored and my part time job was bringing those cans to the front of the building on trash day and put them back in the trash storage shed thing. I came in contact with rat droppings and occasions actual rats and I never got sick or known anyone to get sick.
We used to play in the apartment cellars as if it was our personal club house and there was rat droppings everywhere. We would sweep them from against the walls and sit down and chill down there. Nobody ever got sick or died.
I had a job clearing out old warehouses where there were rat droppings again every and again no workers ever got sick and died as far as I know. If Hantavirus was a thing back then the hood should have been a quarantined pandemic.
There has to be something more to this I’m missing.
