My son was crying while i was trying to get him to take a nap in his bassinet. After about 10 minutes of trying to console him to sleep while he was laying down, i just picked him up & sat on the couch with him on my chest.

Immediately stopped crying and was asleep within less than 5 minutes.

So simple. But i had “other stuff” to do today so i thought that i “didn’t have time” to just sit and hold my baby for a few hours while he napped.

I guess my point is, the unfolded laundry & dirty dishes can wait.
