TL;DR How to deal with imposter syndrome as a GM?
This is not exactly a post I’d typically make, but I thought that trying this way was worth a shot.
I’m GM-ing 2 LANCER games at the moment, and things have been going great. My players are roleplaying incredibly and working together during combat, they seem to like the additions I made to the modules, and I have just been having a blast being in the GM seat again.
Problem is, it really doesn’t feel like I’m doing good as one. My players say I am, constantly at that, but it doesn’t exactly feel real or earned.
I know logically that there’s really no reason for them to lie, but understanding that has been slow-going at the very least.
Is there a way to not feel this way so often?
