Children's book read ~2012 in Romanian, short/thin book. Boy protagonist living in a coastal town with his sister (who had a boyfriend). An old sailing ship (like Columbus-era) arrives in town. A prisoner with a shackle/ball on his foot escapes from the ship and ends up in a cemetery. Cover had a cartoon-style three-headed Cerberus, possibly with an abandoned/haunted house in the background. It's all I remember and I am not sure this tings are true but it's just pieces I remember.
