Help With SD Card!!
Hi! Firstly happy late mothers day! Now I have a question and I have no clue where to ask, and I haven’t seen much information on this issue either. I own a legion go 1, I’ve had it about 2 years now and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. However, I’ve come into an issue. This past Christmas my mom bought me a microSD that I have yet to use due to a few issues I’ve seen other people have on Reddit.
I’ve seen a lot of people talk about overheating issues, about the left side of their screen, heating up as they try to use the microSD, and about performance issues that also have been inquired. Here’s where my problem is. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. I believe my microSD is 512 gigs, but I don’t know if I want to risk using my microSD and risk burning it out with some of the other post I’ve seen. However, I have seen some people say they use a USB adapter card reader that sticks a bit bit out of their Legion, go, steam, deck, or any handheld console, that allows them to put the microSD into the card reader, without having to fully insert it into the Legion go.
My very long paragraph question, do I go for a micro SD straight into the console, and risk overheating? Or do I buy a USB-C card adapter that I plug into the bottom of my USB-C port, and let it hang out and attach the microSD to that? Any answers will help! I’m very new to this, even though I’ve owned it for two years, I hope this isn’t a dumb question! And hopefully I am able to help someone else who might have this question as well! Have a great day everyone and I hope you are happy future memorial day!
