MLM Cafe Wants to Display My Art

I had a woman reach out to me on FB telling me about a cafe she owns where they display local art & small businesses products, and asked if I would be interested in hanging my artwork there, and they had tons of other vendors who sold their stuff there. Sounded cool.

I skim the Google page and it seems like there’s a lot of traffic there, tons of good reviews. I look at their FB page and it’s literally all AI generated flyers. Like those yellow tinted, “make me a fun promo flyer about my cafe” in Chat GPT, fingers missing from the Barista type of AI slop. At this point I’m already feeling off put by this, bc wanting to support local artists while using a crap ton of AI for your marketing is almost an oxymoron in itself. But against my better judgment, I send her over the samples of my work.

She sends me back this response. No idea why she mentioned the Christian part, and “swirly top art” made no sense to me 😭 I decided to do a more detailed comb through and found their IG and saw all of their “vendors” were things like Paparazzi Jewelry, DoTerra, Norwex, etc. Then I saw it… the HerbaLife link in their bio. And it all came together 🥲

The cafe from hell! Ran by MLM huns, selling MLM crap with MLM vendors. The AI generated marketing made total sense.

Anyways, I have nowhere to share this and thought I’d put it here 😭 I will not be displaying my art there.
