1. After ww1, the entente instead of demilitarizing the rhineland set up a rival liberal government there as a french client state. This leads to paranoia for fear of a western invasion which gives way for bolshevik-esque purges to take place. Germany slowly becomes a soviet puppet and centralizes to "defend the revolution"

2. The allies in ww2 absolutely botch the defense of britain and USSR. The entirety of the globe either becomes fascist aligned or german puppets. The Spanish commune remains one of a handful of free nation on earth, watching as the rest of the majority of the world lay in chains

3. Perestroika and market reforms are SO successful that the USSR begins out-producing the west in arnaments and nuclear warheads while retaining tolerable living standards. After some time, a cuban missile crises/soviet nuclear sub style incident occurs and turns the cold war hot. Numerous cities are turned into radioactive ash and millions die.

4. The process of unifying France under the red banner gives fame and social proliferation to the heroes of the French red army. Once a constitution is drafted, one such venerated general of the army installs the worlds first "proletarian dictatorship". This "Red Napoleon" would go on to spread the revolution to the rest of europe by military domination and political terror. After some time, he is crowned "Emperor of the world's workers and toilers" and reigns totalitarian

5. After Debs's victory, he goes on to reform the constitution killing jim crow and segregationist laws on all levels. He also begins mass nationalization of industries and advocates for a more parlimentarian proportional form of democracy. While all of this is highly popular in the industrialized rust belt and culturally northern states, the southern states are furious. Violence breaks out and a second American civil war starts, killing millions.

6. After the social-democratic republic of Russia is established, militarism and mass industrialization are put on the backburner and the government focuses on wealth and land redistribution. Russia stays highly agrarian outside of the growing cities and leaves it in a weak spot. History goes on into the 1940s and germany launches on all out invasion. With many landlords feeling disgruntled and reactionary thought on the rise, mutinies and terrorism lead the Russian army to collapse on itself and at the whims of the third reich.
